Protest organized against the Toronto Humane Society

by Toronto Dog on September 10th, 2009

The Globe and Mail wrote a 3-part series expose back in May and since then many people have come forward with their testimonies regarding animal neglect and suffering at the Toronto Humane Society. The OSPCA is currently investigating these allegations. The Toronto Humane Society Protest Group, spearheaded by a former volunteer and employee of the Toronto Humane Society who is deeply concerned over the well being of the animals at the shelter, is doing everything it can to keep this story out in the public eye.

The group has organized a peaceful protest on Saturday June 20th at the Toronto Humane Society location at 11 River St. A second protest has been organized for 2pm on Saturday September 12th 2009 at the same location. The organizers hope to double the number of people that attended the June 20th protest,

Please visit The Toronto Humane Society Protest Group for more information about the group and the upcoming protest.
