Thomson Memorial Dog Park is one of Scarborough’s first 2 legal dog parks along with Botany Hill. The park was officially opened on September 9th, 2010 (Grand Opening of Thomson Memorial Dog Park).
This dog park is very large ,according to City Councillor Glenn De Baeremaeker, it is in fact the largest off leash dog park in Toronto. The park is fully fenced in using cedar post and paddle fencing with wire mesh attached to prevent smaller dogs from escaping. The park includes 3 double gated entrance points and has a separate (also very large) area specifically for smaller dogs. This dog park is very open (did we mention, very large) and includes some shaded areas under trees as well as benches.
The park is very easily accesible from the adjacent gravel parking lot located off Brimley Rd, behind the tennis courts, just North of Lawrence Ave. The off leash area is located in the hydro fields running behind Scarborough General Hospital. The adjacent Thomson Memorial Park grounds include beautiful manicured spaces, sport fields, playgrounds, and paved walking trails.

Nice pictures of park. I would also like to mention that this parking lot normally closes for the winter.
